2 Men Ask High Court OK to Wed
Richard J. Baker, president of the University of Minnesota student association, and James M. McConnell, a librarian, want to marry each other, legally.
They have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to validate homosexual marriage, arguing that Minnesota's refusal to grant a license violated their constitutional rights to liberty, property and privacy.
The pair, both 29, got married last September, but the state supreme court invalidated the ceremony.
